Dior illustrated, Rene Gruau, Somerset House.

This was by far one of the best exhibitions I have ever visited. I was in a state of shock. Normally I don't really enjoy trailing after friends or family for miles upon miles of the prinstine marle floor of various historical art galleries, but wow. We spent hours in there! Each section was perfectly divided up in to easy to follow segments, for students, children and the general public with an intriguing twist to the end. Something which I adored was the 'Inspired by...' section, a series of totally different artists were asked to respond in which ever way they wished to Gruau's work, not all of which I liked but intrigued me, I was not the only person astonished by his work.
A great afternoon which is well worth a visit. (There was even a Matthew Williamson showcase on another floor). And ill be taking my sketchbook back with me when i next visit the city just before the exhibition closes for some last minute close ups.

Marrakech.

I was lucky enough to go on an incredible mini-break to Morocco, and while I was there fell in love with Marrakech.
It was stunning.
From the hidden treasures of the souks to the most exquisite tagine dishes. We packed so much in to only a couple of days and returned with so much inspiration, my sketchbook was exploding! Its a truly inspiring place, completely different to my everyday life and I would undoubtedly recommend it to everyone. But I won't bore you with any more of my whines... take a look at some of my snaps...

vogue's create your own look.

kept me occupied for hours, trawling through thousands upon thousands of designer and high street finds. finally giving you your own outfit in an effect and setting you choose.
brilliant for passing time.

wow.
that's all i can say. the elegance and grace is incredible. how can a woman hold such chic in a high neck-lined, bellowing maxi? it's beyond me.
perhaps it is because everything else surrounding it is so subtle, the deep mahogany plimsoles really capture the casual-ity of the outfit as if it had just been thrown on.
i salute you Chloe.
